Yesterday, while checking out some deviants, I had an idea. I needed a new race for my story about alchemists. Cute and small-ish. I stumbled upon a furry-themed deviation, and then I had it: rabbits. The horns come from the "jackalope". I find that idea really cute.
So, this is still Mimosa, but "olnöske"-style. That's what I'll name this new race. This is probably the final design, or close to it. As for the title, Shanri is the Great Power of Earth in my ChaoSaber Chronicles. This race was created by her (she's a she, obviously).
I find that I like drawing with very soft pencils. This was done with a 9B pencil, and it adds a little something. I think that I'll draw all my future sketches with that pencil.
EDIT: Resized just a bit... The preview rather butchered the picture
Date: 25th January 2007
Medium: 9B "Grafwood" Caran d'Ache pencil
I knew it looked like Mimosa... it was confirmed when I read the description (yeah, I read all your descriptions this time).
I don't know if I prefer her this way, but I like it. The race idea is cool... and cute. By looking at her, I imagine some kind of meddling creature. She looks... er... agaçante mais chou... can't say it in english. ^^
Anyway, you'll tell me about your work when you'll have time to spend out of your computer books. Good luck for you exams. ^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
