Finally done! Whew! This is my entry for the contest. One had to draw a female character from a Sierra game.

Well, here's my favorite lady, from my favorite Sierra oldie but goldie: Erana from Quest for Glory. Since there are so few picture references for her, I allowed myself some liberties with her design. I left her outfit completely to my imagination. ^^ I went a bit overboard with the background... That's why it's not really shaded, I didn't want to drown Erana even further in background elements. But I must admit that I'm really pleased with this picture. I love it very much, it looks so... magical. ^^ I'm happy I did well, though this pic would've deserved more work... But I hadn't the time, and I just had to participate in this contest! ^^

One may imagine that this is Erana creating the magical garden known as "Erana's Peace". She looks young on this picture, a bit child-like maybe... But I always saw in Erana the young, unspoiled faerie, more than the noble, self-sacrificing archmage. It is this joyous, nature-loving side of her that I wanted to portray in this picture.

Some notes about the picture:
She's supposed to be floating (like she does in QfG V). Her feet are hovering over the ground, but the magic emanating from her is so strong that enchanted flowers bloom in her wake. Also, as one may notice, she's whispering to the fruit to enchant it as well. Or maybe she's just encouraging it to grow? ^^ Finally, the writings on her arms and legs are the manifestation of her magic. I imagined her to have powerful marks on her body to reinforce her mana. Plus, they added to the design.
